Despite turning down an offer from BBC\u00a0Dragons\u2019 Den investor Tej Lalvani, one pitcher\u2019s business has gone from strength to strength and is on track to generate over \u00a35million in the next two years.<\/p>\n
Rachel Kettlewell entered the Den in 2020 and secured investment for her jam business Fearne & Rosie.<\/p>\n
Launched in 2019, the business is on a mission to provide healthier jam alternatives to families across the UK.<\/p>\n
Although leaving the Den with an investment offer, Ms Kettlewell decided against an offer of \u00a340,000 for 35 percent of the business from Tej.<\/p>\n
When explaining why she rejected the offer, she told Express: \u201cFearne & Rosie was so tiny then; it was right at the beginning.<\/p>\n

It has grown +400 percent in the past 12 months and is on track to hit \u00a35 million turnover by 2025.<\/p>\n Even though she parted ways with the Dragons, she still gets regular messages and meets new customers who say they saw, followed, and bought from Fearne & Rosie because of Dragons\u2019 Den.<\/p>\n She added: \u201cI\u2019m always so grateful that we got to be a small part in such an incredible show.\u201d<\/p>\n Upon reflection, she realised that \u00a340,000 was not enough for her to grow the business in the way she wanted.<\/p>\n Although Dragons Deborah Meaden and Sara Davies could not invest, \u201cthey were so supportive\u201d of Rachel’s product and helped her grow with their advice.<\/p>\n We use your sign-up to provide content in ways you’ve consented to and to improve our understanding of you. Consumers still do their weekly shopping in supermarkets, so that\u2019s where the jams need to be she said.<\/p>\n She continued: \u201cAs a business, we\u2019re committed to \u2018spreading goodness\u2019, and my ultimate aim is to build a targeted school support programme.<\/p>\n \u201cI wholeheartedly believe education is key, and that\u2019s why Fearne & Rosie is dedicated to providing resources for schools and wider families on how to make easier, healthier choices.<\/p>\n \u200c\u201cThat\u2019s why the investment and support from TwinklHive is so exciting.
