Dionne Warwick has been enjoying her time on Twitter, now known as X, giving hot takes on everything. However, with all the radical changes owner Elon Musk makes on a whim, Warwick has been wanting to meet him to make sure he knows what he is doing.
“I have yet to speak to that young man and I intend to because I am not quite sure what he’s doing or if he knows what he’s doing,” Warwick told People about her thoughts on Musk. “So until that happens, I’ll reserve my answer to that question.”

Back in August, Musk said the “block” feature was “going to be deleted, except for DMs.” Musk said that Mute would be the only option for users, which still allows those muted to see and interact with people’s feeds versus “block” which completely denies the blocked person from interacting with them.
Although Musk said that “it makes no sense” to have both “mute” and “block,” the Community Notes feature on X noted that the blocking function “is a basic safety feature that allows basic protection for victims of abuse and stalking.” The note added that removing the ability to block other users “would compromise the safety of many people on social media.”
Musk didn’t give a timetable as to when X was planning on removing the block feature.
This was not the first time that Warwick talked about Musk. Back in December 2022, Warwick addressed the exodus of users as Musk took over the social media platform.
“I know a lot of people have walked away from Twitter. That’s prior to knowing exactly what he’s going to do. He’s new to the game,” Warwick told People.
She continued, “His attitude is freedom of speech, which is mine as well. However, there’s a way to do it. That’s one of the conversations I’m going to have with him. What is your true intent? I understand your freedom of speech attitude but how are you going to contain it, so it does not get out of hand?”
