iPhone owners are just realizing hidden ‘instant upgrade’ trick makes your phone feel so much faster | The Sun

IPHONE fans have uncovered a helpful function that can enhance their device's performance.

A few weeks ago, Apple announced its latest software update, iOS 17, for the iPhone.

The update introduced several new features as well as upgrades to existing tools.

One existing tool that got a major boost is Haptic Touch, which was launched by Apple in2018.

WHAT IS HAPTIC TOUCH?

Haptic Touch is a 3D Touch-like tool that utilizes the Taptic Engine and provides haptic feedback when the screen is pressed.

Basically, it's a touch-and-hold gesture that can be used across the iOS 17 operating system.

Typically, Haptic Touch comprises long pressing a relevant option until a little pop is felt against the finger and a secondary menu pops up.

Before iOS 17 launched, Haptic Touch only had two-speed options, both of which could make your phone feel sluggish.

Now, Apple has introduced a "fast" option that could significantly speed up the tool.

HOW TO MODIFY QUICK HAPTIC TOUCH

You can alter your Haptic Touch's settings by going to your device now.

First, open Settings and then scroll down to Accessibility.

Choose Touch, then on the next menu, tap on Haptic Touch

Depending on the device you have, only the 3D Touch or the Haptic Touch option might appear, Apple noted.

For 3D Touch, turn on the feature, then use the slider to select a sensitivity level.

For Haptic Touch, choose a touch duration speed, then tap the image to test your setting.

Haptic Touch works everywhere that ‌3D Touch‌ works, such as on the Home screen app icons.

You can also use it on links, phone numbers, addresses, and others to preview content.
